Influencer Marketing
Nobody falls for a scam, until it lands in their DMs. So Febelfin, the Belgian federation of the financial sector, sent comedian Angel Redondo and creator Alizée onto the street to ask young people what they would do.

Phishing messages and offers of easy money often reach young people on the apps their parents rarely open, and a warning from a bank is easy to scroll past there. Febelfin gives objective information about the Belgian financial sector and helps protect consumers, young people included. It wanted to reach them on TikTok, in Dutch and in French.
Angel Redondo of the comedy duo Kurkdroog and Alizée took a microphone onto the street, each in their own language. In a short series of episodes they asked passers-by what a money mule is, what phishing looks like and what you do when it happens to you. The answers were often funny: one passer-by might just hand over a bank card for €1.000, and a group of friends had already lost an Instagram account to hackers. Every episode ended with one clear tip, like calling your bank and Card Stop straight away. The videos also ran as TikTok ads with a button to Febelfin’s information page, so they reached many more young people than the creators’ own followers. Laugh first, then think twice.
