Proximus is a Belgian internet-, mobile-, phone- and TV provider, that wanted to promote its Pickx Sport Instagram channel, a hub for sports news. They have a Dutch version and a French version of the Instagram channel.
Adshot recommended setting up an influencer marketing campaign on Instagram. But to convey the message that Pickx Sports is a must-follow for every sports fan we had to send out a message as authentic as possible. By utilized Belgian sporting symbols we had true experts trying to convince people to follow Pickx Sports.
Adshot suggested working together with some famous Belgian sporting idols. We opted for four influencers who each would create 6 months of content for the Instagram Pickx Sports channel and on their own channels referring to the Proximus Pickx Sports Instagram channel. The four influencers were Olympic champion Hockey star Tom Boon, two (at the time) all-star Belgian Cats Kim Mestdagh and Julie Allemand and the lightning quick Olympian sprinter and runner-up in the 2019 European Indoor Championship Cynthia Bolingo.
Content varied from interviews to blog posts, to Q&A’s. By combining influencer generated content on Pickx Sports’ socials and content on their own socials mentioning Pickx Sports we were able to get a reach 136.782 on Instagram Stories and 272.728 on the posts. Over the 6 months of content there was a total of 54 content moments.
